MADELYN HARGREAVES-BISH Competed in Brisbane this Saturday 3rd of October at the NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS! Madelyn qualified to represent Branca Taekwondo, and Taekwondo Victoria at the recent State TKD Championships. Madelyn has been National champion as Blue belt, and will now be competing in the Red belt division. GOOD LUCK FROM ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!
JASMINE BRANCA defeats RACHEL FASSIOMS in AUSTRALIA'S FIRST EVER PRO TAEKWONDO FIGHT!Jasmine after being challenged to fight against Rachel Fassioms of Power House Taekwondo in a on stage, show cased, Taekwondo Competition. Jasmine landed a damaging head kick in the first round and dominated her opponent for the rest of the match going on to win 6-1.

BTKD GRADING TERM 3 2009!Students showed there skills at our club grading last sunday, with Tom Garcia-Bettinelli being promoted to Cho Dan Bo (probationary black belt). It was not easy but he stuck it out and his persistance hard work and dedication paid off! He is now hard at work training to become a fully fledged 1st Poom Black Belt.
We would like to welcome Eddie Tanaka, Corey and Tyson Kerovic, Caleb McGinnes, Brody Smith, Angus Kelly, Ashley Page, and Kersha Cutajar to our club, all of whom have been awarded their Yellow belt 9th Gup!

JASMINE BRANCA WILL BE COMPETING IN AUSTRALIA'S FIRST EVER PRO TAEKWONDO FIGHT!
Jasmine has been challenged to fight against Rachel Fassioms in a "Kick Boxing style" Taekwondo Competition. Jasmine is looking forward to the challenge of fighting someon who normally fights a division or two heavier than her. This will be one of only two female bouts on the night. The Fight Night will be Friday 4th September at the Moonee Valley Race Course. General Admission $45-

Congratulations to Tahnee Fox, Kristina Mengarelli, Mikayla Chandran, Kim Phillips, Han Phillips, Chloe Stubbs, Jordan stubbs, Brandon Hempstead, Tom Garcia Bettinelli and Madelyn Hargreaves-Bish who made us proud at the State Championships. And a special thank you to all of those who came to watch and support the team. 9 of our team qualified for the nationals.

The Term 2 Grading for 2009 was a great success! All students performed fantastically!
We congratulate Youcef and Nadia Zermane dit Zermake, Mackenzie Webb and Noah Noonan whose great work and courage shown at their first ever grading earned them their yellow belt! Also thank you to Emilie Templar, Daryl Ellard, Tahnee Fox and Kristina Mengarelli, for coming to assist at the grading. Tahnee and Kristina's demonstration of the black belt poomse, and flying side kick over three people was greatly recieved by the students.
